Mercury makes improvements on Verados.
The Mercury Verados have proven to be fantastic engines. They've been as dependable as you can get in an outboard and the performance unbeatable. And nothing is smoother or quieter.
The only issues have been that tournament fishermen complained that they weren't as fuel efficient as other four strokes and the Optimax running wide open. This was due to the supercharger. For 2008 Mercury has made engineering changes that will now improve the fuel economy by up to 20%.We are also expecting announcements of added Verado models shortly.
