Here's a little bio information on Gary Nault, fishing guide from Gary's Guide Service in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Gary gives us some background information regarding his love of fishing, and his boat of choice.
Gary started his fishing career fishing with his dad at the age of 5, fishing mostly perch and walley in the Sturgeon Bay area. From there he fished Lake Michigan for both lake trout and salmon on his dad's boats.
Gary worked as a Firefighter with the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department for 31 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2005.
Gary started guiding and tournament fishing in 1987. He fished the MWC Walleye Circuit for over 15 years, qualifing for the World Walleye Championships 3 times. He started his guiding career in a 16' Lund Mr. Pike and got his first 1700 Lund Pro-V, from Mr. Outboard's Watersports Marine in 1988. Since then he has had 19 Lund Pro-V's. He feels the Lund Pro-V is the best guiding boat for all species and all waters. He is also proud of his relationship with Mr.Outboard's Watersports Marine as the best marine dealer a guide can have. Gary is also on Pro Staff's with Mercury Outboards, Lowrance Electronics, MotorGuide Trolling Motors, St.Croix Fishing Rods, Zebco/Quantum Fishing Reels, Berkley Products, Venom Lures, and Bait Rigs Tackle.
Gary guides the waters of Door County mainly around the Sturgeon Bay area, for smallmouth bass, walleye, perch, northern pike, and musky, as well as Lake Michigan for salmon and trout.
